Apex Skimboards are shaped, glassed, and finished by hand in Tampa Bay, Florida. Our boards are made with either a 5/8" or 3/4" dyvinicell hand shaped foam core, with a notched out bottom rail filled with a kevlar band, resin, and chopped fiber. All of the boards are vacuum bagged on industry standard glass rocker tables. Our boards are made with six layers of material, three on top and three on bottom for strength, stiffness, and durability. Apex is leading the forefront of epoxy skimboard technology.
